This teacher has joined me in the 2/3 grade classroom to co-teach with me. I am quite excited about this because it means that we can both focus on 1-not 2-grades for the core subjects of math and language and share the responsibility of teaching Bible, Science, and Social Studies. If you are not a teacher, this is your cue to get really excited. If you are a teacher, you should understand my current happiness...
I do not actually know what it is like to simply focus on one grade in a classroom so this weekend as I have been planning I have felt a little out of my element. I feel as if I am starting over...and amazingly seem to have WAY more work to do now than I did before. How is this possible?? Oh, I can think of one reason...I probably talk too much during the day instead of working :)
This teacher-her name is Janna-is a wonderful addition to our classroom of 11 and I am very excited to work with her!
In other news, we have a busy few weeks left leading up to Christmas break (which I can hardly believe is already on our horizon) and I am getting pretty excited about being back in the United States for a few weeks. Being away for months at a time makes coming home that much sweeter :)
