Where to begin then where to end? Well we (meaning 5 of us girls) started off in the little towns of Acalá and Camarma and ended in the big city of Madrid.
We visited the Evangelical Christian Academy located in Camarma, Spain and were able to tour their school and attend their secondary chapel.
We started in host families’ homes and ended in SEND missionary housing…
I started off not knowing who Miguel de Cervantes was but ended up knowing that he at least authored Don Quixote (Alcalá is Cervantes’ home town)

I started not knowing anything about the city of Madrid and ended knowing more than when I came (though probably not as much as I should)
I went not knowing about the awesomess of Churros con Chocolate and ended fully appreciating its chocolately goodness-if you don’t know what they are you should totally look them up.
I began not knowing there was an Egyptian temple in the middle of the city and ended having visited such a place (strange I know, but it was a gift so you can’t turn it down!)

I started off dry and ended up wet-I just love the rain when I travel, especially when my rain jacket decides it doesn’t want to be what you would consider “waterproof.”

I began not knowing there could be so many different street performers in one city, but left knowing it is entirely possible to have mickey mouse, GI Joe, and a llama all in one square…
We headed out on a Thursday and came back on a Sunday all the more wiser about the city of Madrid. For me, a city is a city but the little towns we visited were completely different from what you would find in the city. They were charming and had simple two-story buildings. There were big open fields and children running around without the need for a parents’ close watch. This is what I loved the most J

Until next time…
Prague is a modern and vibrant city full of energy, music, cultural art, fine dining and special events catering to the independent traveller's thirst for adventure. An evening stroll across the Charles Bridge -- as the sun sets behind the castle and the last rays are reflected by the Old Town's golden spires -- has become one of those European "musts."
