No, this is not a post about being single on Valentine’s Day. Even though it is Valentine’s Day and I am single.
This is about the things we here in Prague-more specifically the 2/3-grade classroom-LOVE.
Miss Laugherty had a great idea that on Valentine’s Day we should write about the things that we love.
So all of the 2/3 graders along with Miss Laugherty and myself participated in making this list of 14 (get it? February 14th?? 14 things?? I thought so…) things we love. So here goes…
At the top of the list, making an appearance a total of 13 times is-drum roll please-Jesus! This is appropriate considering His love and grace is what makes us who we are…
Coming right up behind our top winner were the likes of: family, friends, toys, teachers, SCHOOL (wohoo!) and of course…food (who doesn’t love that?)
Moving on down the list we find the likes of the sun, our beds (a personal favorite), snow, gravity (good point), shade, stars, the nature, chocolate, and birthdays.
That about rounds it out for the students but since Miss Laugherty and myself are a bit more experienced in finding things we love we were a bit more specific and included such things as: sharpie and felt tip pens, Max the cat, cute shoes, cereal, lists, the macbook, the 2/3 graders, good books, the color red, Alberts’ yogurt, and music among other things.
I know that I LOVE and am LOVED…and it is one of the best parts of life.
So here’s to Valentine’s Day 2011
