In the world of the 2/3 grade classroom last week this word meant that the 2nd grade teacher was now going to have to leave the Czech Republic because her visa got denied by the Czech government.
I currently have a strong dislike for this word because it means I have to say goodbye to a friend and a co-teacher. Miss Laugherty will be headed back to Illinois this week to restart her visa process stateside.
We are hopeful/praying/asking for a miracle for her visa application to be processed lightening fast in order for her to come back as soon as possible.
Please pray with me as we all adjust to what this means in school and out of school. The students must adjust to an uncertain time of different teachers helping out in the classroom. Miss Laugherty has to adjust to being back in the United States for an unknown amount of time. Lastly, I have to adjust to the real possibility of inconsistency in a classroom very much used to consistency as well as an increased work load for the time being.
Miss Laugherty...we will miss you and hope you come back to us fast!
Until next time...
